InsideTracker applies clinical research directly to your body. It’s a precise approach to health, and you’ll see the improvement reflected in your blood.
Artificial intelligence (AI) comes in many flavors. We call ours SegterraX, and it has one job: Distill a tremendous amount of data into life-changing health recommendations.
SegterraX is a powerful tool. We trained it on thousands of clinical studies, and it can process tens of thousands of data points from your body. This makes it far more intelligent—and reliable—than even the smartest human.
The output of AI is only as good as its inputs. That's why we maintain an exceptionally high bar for the studies we use to train SegterraX.
Curation is handled by a team of experts in nutrition, exercise, and biology. And they only approve research that’s robust, unambiguous, and done on humans. (Rats and petri dishes are poor proxies for the human body.)
To date, our experts have approved more than 7,000 clinical studies—and all that data has been processed by SegterraX. This represents the world's best knowledge on health and longevity.
The "lifestyle prescriptions" you receive will be highly personalized. They apply the best available research to your body's data. We give them to you in an Action Plan, which you can adjust to meet your personal health goals.
Lifestyle prescriptions do not require a doctor. They include foods, supplements, workouts, and lifestyle modifications. For example, your Action Plan might include eating ground flaxseed to lower inflammation or taking a supplement to improve insulin sensitivity. These recommendations are designed to help you meet your health goals before you need medical care.
People fall in love with InsideTracker because we make health data useful. Instead of the standard pass/fail blood test you get from the doctor, we use rich graphs that highlight your personal optimal zones. We pull in additional data from your DNA, fitness tracker, and other lifestyle inputs. And we deliver a personalized Action Plan that drives successful health outcomes.
All of this is possible thanks to a powerful AI engine that’s always learning about you. Over time, SegterraX adjusts your recommendations to keep you on track to live your longest, healthiest life.
We measure thousands of biomarkers across four key areas. Then we show you how to make your body function at its best.
Blood is the cornerstone of personalized health, and InsideTracker goes beyond what you’ll get at the doctor’s office. We look at dozens of additional biomarkers, and rather than give you a simple pass/fail report, we calculate your body’s unique optimized zone for each one.
Your DNA is hard-coded into each cell, and it provides information about your body's potential. For example, you might have an above-average risk of high cholesterol, but also a greater potential to build muscle. InsideTracker can show you how to take advantage of these unique traits. Combined with blood data, it can help us build you a highly personalized Action Plan.
InsideTracker works with wearable devices like Fitbit, Garmin, and Apple Watch. By gathering real-time data on your sleep, movement, and exercise, we’re able to offer daily tips and long-term recommendations that align with your habits.
During onboarding, we'll ask you to tell us about yourself. Your dietary preferences, medications, and exercise routine all affect your recommendations. So do your weight, age, gender, and ethnicity. No two bodies are the same, and research has shown that what's right for one person isn't necessarily right for another.
We take healthspan science seriously. Here’s the peer-reviewed proof.
Foundation paper
This study of more than 1,000 people shows that InsideTracker is highly effective. By using the platform, subjects with unhealthy blood-biomarker levels discovered novel, personalized strategies for improvement. As a result, their biomarkers began trending toward optimization. The paper was published in Scientific Reports. It was written with co-authors David Sinclair, PhD, and David Katz, MD.
Microbiome review
Your gut is home to trillions of bacteria. They affect every system in your body, but so far, the hype has outpaced the science. This paper establishes guardrails for using the microbiome in personalized health. It was written by InsideTracker and Jeffery Blumberg, PhD, research professor in the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.
Runner’s paper
This study leverages data from more than 28,000 InsideTracker users. It shows the effects of endurance training on metabolic health. It also identifies blood biomarkers that show a dose-effect with training volume, and it highlights how athletes can leverage personalized health insights to make smart nutrition decisions. The paper was published in 2023 in the journal PLOS One.
